Appeal by Gethro S. from an order of the Family Court, Nassau County, dated February 1, 2023. By letter dated May 4, 2023, assigned counsel notified the Court that counsel has been unable to contact the appellant. By order to show cause dated May 10, 2023, the appellant was directed to show cause before this Court why an order should not be made and entered relieving the attorney assigned to perfect the appeal, and dismissing the appeal in the above-entitled proceedings.
Now, upon the order to show cause and no papers having been filed in response thereto, it is
ORDERED that the motion is granted, assigned counsel is relieved of the assignment, and the appeal is dismissed, without costs or disbursements (see 22 NYCRR 670.3[b][2]).
