In the Matter of Eliot F. Bloom, a suspended attorney.
(Attorney Registration No. 2081453)
| DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION FOR REINSTATEMENT |
Motion by Eliot F. Bloom for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Bloom was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on September 24, 1986. By opinion and order of this Court dated September 21, 2016, under Appellate Division Docket No. 2014-10963, Bloom was suspended from the practice of law for a period of six months, commencing October 21, 2016 (see Matter of Bloom, 143 AD3d 173). By decision and order on motion dated June 22, 2017, Bloom's first motion for reinstatement to the Bar, under Appellate Division Docket No. 2014-10963, was denied without prejudice to renew upon resolution of complaints then pending before the Grievance Committee for the Tenth Judicial District. By opinion and order of this Court dated December 18, 2019, under Appellate Division Docket No. 2017-11411, Bloom was suspended from the practice of law for a period of three years, effective immediately (see Matter of Bloom, 180 AD3d 128).
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is
ORDERED that the motion is denied.
We find that Eliot F. Bloom does not demonstrate the requisite character and fitness to practice law.
DILLON, J.P., DUFFY, CONNOLLY, BRATHWAITE NELSON and MILLER, JJ., concur.
