| ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE |
Appeals from three orders of the Family Court, Suffolk County, dated April 27, 2023, March 9, 2023, and March 7, 2023, respectively. By scheduling order dated June 5, 2023, the appellant was directed to perfect the appeals in the above-entitled proceedings within 60 days after the receipt by the appellant of the transcripts of the minutes of the proceedings in the Family Court. On July 14, 2023, the appellant advised this Court that he had received the transcripts. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated January 22, 2024, the appellant's time to perfect the appeals was extended until February 21, 2024. The appellant has failed to perfect the appeals. Pursuant to § 670.3(b)(4) of the rules of this Court (22 NYCRR 670.3[b][4]), it is
ORDERED that the parties are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeals in the above-entitled proceedings for failure to perfect the appeals in accordance with the scheduling order dated June 5, 2023, as extended by the decision and order on motion dated January 22, 2024, by uploading a digital copy of an affirmation or affidavit on that issue, with proof of service thereof, through the digital portal on this Court's website, on or before April 10, 2024; if a self-represented party is unable to use the digital portal, they may instead file a copy of an affirmation or affidavit, with proof of service thereof, via email at [email protected] or via regular mail addressed to the Acting Clerk of this Court on or before April 10, 2024; and it is further,
ORDERED that the Acting Clerk of this Court, or his designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon the parties via email to the email address provided to this court, or if no email address is available for service by regular mail.
