Appeal from an order of the Family Court, Queens County, dated August 22, 2023. By order on certification of this Court dated October 30, 2023, the following attorney was assigned as counsel for the appellant on the appeal, and was directed, inter alia, to contact the appellant and determine the appellant's interest in perfecting the appeal:

By letter dated March 8, 2024, assigned counsel notified the Court that the appellant has failed to respond to communications by assigned counsel.

On the Court's own motion, it is

ORDERED that the appellant is directed to show cause before this Court why an order should not be made and entered dismissing the appeal on the ground that the appellant has abandoned the appeal by failing to respond to communications by assigned counsel, by filing an affirmation or an affidavit on that issue in the office of the Clerk of this Court on or before April 15, 2024; if a self-represented party is unable to use the digital portal, they may instead file a copy of an affirmation or affidavit, with proof of service thereof, via email at [email protected] or via regular mail addressed to the Clerk of this Court on or before April 15, 2024; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or his designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon the parties or their attorneys, and upon the appellant, via email to the email address provided to this Court, or if no email address is available for service by regular mail.
