DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Appeal by Sharneka W. from an order of the Family Court, Kings County, dated August 31, 2023. Motion by Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, Columbia Law School-Family Defense Clinic, Center for Family Representation, Bronx Defenders, Children's Rights, and National Association of Counsel for Children for leave to file an amici curiae brief. Motion by Americans For Prosperity Foundation for leave to file an amicus curiae brief. Motion by Sanctuary for Families, Empire Justice Center, Her Justice, Incendii Law, PLLC, Lawyers Committee Against Domestic Violence, Legal Momentum, New York Legal Assistance Group, and New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence for leave to file an amici curiae brief. Motion by New York Civil Liberties Union, American Civil Liberties Union Women's Rights Project, and National Center for Youth Law for leave to file an amici curiae brief. Application by Aditi Fruitwala, an attorney in good standing in the District of Columbia, to be admitted pro hac vice to represent proposed amici curiae New York Civil Liberties Union, American Civil Liberties Union Women's Rights Project, and National Center for Youth Law on the appeal. Application by Linda Morris, an attorney in good standing in the State of Maryland, to be admitted pro hac vice to represent proposed amici curiae New York Civil Liberties Union, American Civil Liberties Union Women's Rights Project, and National Center for Youth Law on the appeal.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motions and applications and no papers having been filed in opposition or in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motions for leave to file amici curiae briefs are granted, the amici curiae shall serve their respective briefs on the parties, and upload digital copies of the briefs, with proof of service thereof, through the digital portal on this Court's website, on or before May 24, 2024; if so advised, the parties may file reply briefs to the amici curiae briefs within 10 days after service upon them of the amici curiae briefs; no oral argument by the amici curiae shall be permitted; and it is further,

ORDERED that the applications by Aditi Fruitwala and Linda Morris to be admitted pro hac vice are granted.
