DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Ruth Johnson, Respondent, v Highlawn Moving & Storage, Inc., Appellant.

Motion by appellant for an extension of time to perfect an appeal from a judgment of the Civil Court of the City of New York, Kings County, entered February 28, 2023. Separate motion by appellant for a stay of execution of the money judgment pending appeal.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motions and no papers having been filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motions are consolidated for the purpose of disposition; and it is further,

ORDERED that the motion for an extension of time to perfect the appeal is granted and the appeal shall be perfected on or before July 10, 2024; and it is further,

ORDERED that the motion for a stay of execution of the judgment pending appeal is granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that in the event the appeal is not perfected by July 10, 2024, the court, on its own motion, may dismiss the appeal and vacate the stay, or respondent may move, on three days' notice, to dismiss the appeal and vacate the stay, and may serve appellant with such application in person.
