DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by respondent pursuant to Criminal Procedure Law § 380.55 (2) on the People's appeal from an order of the Criminal Court of the City of New York, Queens County, entered November 27, 2023, for the assignment of counsel.
Upon the affirmed representation of Kelsey Halloran, Esq., that the respondent continues to be eligible for assignment of counsel, and no papers having been filed in response thereto, it is
ORDERED that, pursuant to County Law § 722, Appellate Advocates is assigned as counsel to represent the respondent; and it is further,
ORDERED that Queens Defenders shall provide new counsel with all papers forthwith; and it is further,
ORDERED on the court's own motion, that respondent's time to serve and file a brief is extended to February 21, 2025; and it is further,
ORDERED that appellant may, if it be so advised, serve and file a reply brief within 7 days of service upon it of respondent's brief.
