Motion by appellant for a stay pending the determination of an appeal from an order of the Civil Court of the City of New York, Kings County, dated March 12, 2025.
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in opposition thereto, it is
ORDERED that, on the court's own motion, the parties are directed to show cause why the appeal should or should not be dismissed, on the ground that the appeal has been rendered moot through appellant's compliance with the terms of an April 7, 2025 stipulation, by filing an affidavit or affirmation on that issue with the Clerk of this court on or before August 4, 2025; and it is further,
ORDERED that the motion for a stay is held in abeyance pending the determination of this court's own motion to dismiss the appeal; and it is further,
ORDERED that the Clerk of this court, or his designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause on all parties to the proceeding by regular mail.
