Motion by appellant for an extension of time to perfect an appeal from a decision of the Civil Court of the City of New York, Queens County, dated June 26, 2024.
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition thereto, it is
ORDERED that, on the court's own motion, the parties are directed to show cause why the appeal should or should not be dismissed, on the ground that the appeal has been rendered moot by the filing of a "Stipulation of Discontinuance" with the trial court; and it is further,
ORDERED that the motion an extension of time to perfect the appeal is held in abeyance pending the determination of this court's own motion to dismiss the appeal; and it is further,
ORDERED that the clerk of this court, or his designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause on all parties to the proceeding by regular mail.
