Appeals by Egbert A. B. and Mirva P. from an order of the Family Court, Kings County, dated February 15, 2023. By order on certification of this Court dated August 20, 2025, the following attorney was assigned as counsel for the appellant Mirva P. on the appeal, and was directed, inter alia, to contact the appellant Mirva P. and determine the appellant Mirva P.'s interest in perfecting the appeal:

By letter dated September 25, 2025, assigned counsel notified the Court that he has been unable to make contact with the appellant Mirva P. and is unable to proceed with the appeal.

On the Court's own motion, it is

ORDERED that the parties are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered relieving the counsel assigned for the appellant Mirva P. and dismissing the appeal by Mirva P. in the above-entitled proceeding by each uploading a digital copy of an affirmation or affidavit, with proof of service thereof, through the digital portal on this Court's website on or before October 31, 2025; if a self-represented party is unable to use the digital portal, they may instead file a copy of an affirmation or affidavit, with proof of service thereof, via email at [email protected] or via regular mail addressed to the Clerk of this Court on or before October 31, 2025; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or his designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon the parties or their attorneys, and upon the appellant, via email to the email address provided to this Court, or if no email address is available for service by regular mail.
