DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Appeal from an order of the Family Court, Suffolk County, dated April 1, 2024. Motion by the attorney for the child to extend the time to serve and filed a brief. By order to show cause dated June 18, 2025, the parties were directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered relieving the attorney assigned by order on certification of this Court dated February 10, 2025, to respond to the appeal on behalf of the respondent Jada J. on the ground that the attorney had been unable to contact the respondent Jada J.

Now, upon the order to show cause and the papers filed in response thereto, and upon the papers filed in support of the motion by the attorney for the child and no papers having been filed in opposition or in relation thereto it is

ORDERED that the order to show cause is granted and assigned counsel is relieved of the assignment to respond to the appeal on behalf of Jada J.; and it is further,

ORDERED that the motion by the attorney for the child is granted and on or before November 5, 2025, the attorney for the child shall serve and file a brief via NYSCEF, if applicable, or if NYSCEF is not mandated, serve the brief and upload a digital copy of the brief, with proof of service thereof, through the digital portal on this Court's website.
