DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by appellant for an extension of time to perfect an appeal from an order of the Civil Court of the City of New York, Kings County, entered October 15, 2024, and to compel the Civil Court to transmit the record.
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition thereto, it is
ORDERED that the branch of the motion seeking an extension of time to perfect the appeal is granted, and the appeal shall be perfected on or before January 17, 2026; and it is further,
ORDERED that in the event the appeal is not perfected by January 17, 2026, the court, on its own motion, may dismiss the appeal, or respondent may move, on three days' notice, to dismiss the appeal, and may, if appellant is unrepresented, serve such motion upon appellant in person; and it is further,
ORDERED that the branch of the motion seeking to compel the Civil Court to transmit the record is granted, and the Civil Court shall transmit the record on appeal to the Appellate Term within 15 days of the date of this decision and order on motion.
