DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

The People of the State of New York, Respondent, v Israel Landau, Appellant.

Motion by appellant on an appeal from a judgment of conviction of the Justice Court of the Village of Monroe, Orange County, rendered February 26, 2025, to compel the Justice Court to file the court's return.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is denied as moot; and it is further,

ORDERED, on the court's own motion, that the appeal shall be perfected on or before February 9, 2026; and it is further,

ORDERED that in the event the appeal is not perfected by February 9, 2026, the court, on its own motion, may dismiss the appeal, or respondent may move, on three days' notice, to dismiss the appeal, and may, if appellant is unrepresented, serve such motion upon appellant in person.

The court's return was transferred to this court on June 17, 2025.
