ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

Appeals from three orders of the Supreme Court, Queens County, dated October 16, 2024 (two orders), and October 18, 2024, respectively. Motion by the appellant, inter alia, pursuant to 22 NYCRR 1250.7(g) to waive certification of the record and for waiver of costs, fees, and expenses.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that on the Court's own motion, the parties are directed to show cause before this Court why the appeal from the order dated October 18, 2024, should or should not be dismissed on the ground that no appeal lies from the denial of an application to sign an order to show cause (see Khanal v Sheldon, 74 AD3d 894; Matter of Astoria Gas Turbine Power, LLC v Tax Commn. of City of N.Y., 14 AD3d 553; CPLR 5701) and/or that no appeal lies as of right from an order that is not the result of a motion made on notice (see CPLR 5701) and leave to appeal has not been granted, by serving and filing, via NYSCEF, a digital copy of an affirmation or an affidavit on that issue on or before January 30, 2026; and it is further,

ORDERED that the motion by the appellant is held in abeyance in the interim; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or his designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon counsel by uploading a copy of this order to show cause to the NYSCEF system.
