DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

The People of the State of New York, Appellant, v Hernan Echavarria, Respondent.

Motion by Trevor Boeckmann, Esq., of Brooklyn Defender Services-Queens Office, on an appeal from an order of the Criminal Court of the City of New York, Queens County, dated March 22, 2024, to be relieved as counsel and to have other counsel substituted.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in response thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is granted, the Brooklyn Defender Services-Queens Office is relieved as counsel for respondent and Appellate Advocates is assigned pursuant to article 18-B of the County Law, and it is further,

ORDERED that the Brooklyn Defender Services-Queens Office shall provide new counsel with all papers; and it is further,

ORDERED, on the court's own motion, that the respondent's brief shall be served and filed by March 31, 2026.
