TRIAL PART RULES

Hon. Brenda Spears

1. All parties must check in with the Part Clerk.

2. When a party is represented by an attorney, a the attorney must check in with the Part Clerk.

3. No case will be sent to a Trial Part without having a conference with the Court.

4. Cases that are scheduled for trial will be called by the Clerk by 10:30 a.m.

5. Defaults on all other cases will be called by the Clerk at 11:00 a.m.

6. All requests for adjournments, continuances or other scheduling adjustments shall be made in person in the Part. No scheduling adjustments will be considered or granted by telephone.

7. In those cases where the parties have checked in, but the matter has not been resolved by 12:45 p.m., the Court may, in its discretion, adjourn the matter or enter a default.
