As part of the Kings County Courts Black History Month celebration, former NYC Corporation Counsel Zachary W. Carter received the Hon. William C. Thompson Sr. Award from the Appellate Division, Second Department.

Remarks were made by Hon. Alan D. Scheinkman, Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department; Eric Gonzalez, District Attorney for Kings County; and William C. Thompson, Jr., son of the late Judge.

The event was co-sponsored by the Judicial Friends Association, the Brooklyn Bar Association and the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association.
