   Court Appointed Special Advocates

photo of woman holding a child Court Appointed Special Advocates are trained community volunteers who provide Family Courts with independent child advocacy in child abuse and neglect cases.

After appointment by the Court, CASA volunteers meet with the child, family members, foster parents, and service providers to assist the Court's decision making.

CASA volunteers provide the court with thorough information about children's health, safety, well-being and permanency plans. CASA works collaboratively with legal, social service, and treatment providers to promptly secure safe, stable homes and nurturing families for children so that they may thrive.
