The Courthouse is open Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All business must be commenced by 4:30 p.m. Calendars are called at 9:30 a.m.
Adjournment requests must be in writing and will not be considered by phone. The parties must be notified of all adjournment requests. The Judge will consider all requests at the call of the calendar on the scheduled court date.
Civil Matters
Civil matters involving sums up to $15,000.00 can be brought in District Court.

Landlord and Tenant
Landlord and Tenant matters are brought in District Court, where you can sue for housing problems and evictions. The District Court provides numerous services to provide landlords and tenants with legal information and to otherwise assist the public.
Small Claims / Commercial Small Claims
- You can sue for up to $5000.
- You can only sue for money.
- It is inexpensive and easy to use.
- You do not have to have a lawyer.
- The Court will notify the defendant for you.
- It has convenient hours of operation.
- The Court can get you an interpreter if you need one.
