Overview

The Civil Court of the City of New York decides lawsuits involving claims for damages up to $50,000, small claims (cases involving amounts up to $10,000), and claims related to housing (landlord-tenant matters).

Located at the crossroads of the "Downtown" Bronx, Bronx Housing Court has since November of 1997, occupied a "state of the art" building designed by award-winning architect, Rafael Vinoly. Dubbed the "user friendly" court by the local press, thanks to the loyalty and hard work of the judicial and non-judicial personnel, the Court provides quality service to the more than two thousand citizens of the Bronx that come through the doors of 1118 Grand Concourse every day.
