Appeals from two orders of the Supreme Court, Kings County, both dated February 18, 2026. Motion by the appellant, inter alia, in effect, for leave to appeal to this Court from the orders and to stay all proceedings in the above-entitled action, pending hearing and determination of the appeals.
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is
ORDERED that the branch of the motion which for leave to appeal to this Court from the orders is denied as unnecessary as the orders are appealable as of right (see CPLR 5701); and it is further,
ORDERED that the motion is otherwise denied; and it is further,
ORDERED that on the Court's own motion the parties are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should not be made and entered imposing such sanctions and/or costs, if any, as this Court may deem appropriate, against Evans Chima Onumajuru, pursuant to 22 NYCRR 130-1.1, for filing a motion containing fabricated legal authority, by uploading a digital copy of an affirmation or affidavit, with proof of service thereof, through the digital portal on this Court's website on or before July 31, 2026; if a self-represented party is unable to use the digital portal, they may instead file a copy of an affirmation or affidavit, with proof of service thereof, via email at [email protected] or via regular mail addressed to the Clerk of this Court on or before July 31, 2026; and it is further,
ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or his designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon the parties or their attorneys by uploading a copy of this order to show cause to the NYSCEF system, and upon the appellant, via email to the email address provided to this Court, or if no email address is available for service by regular mail.
