Court Security

Public Safety

emblemAll visitors to the Courts will be required to pass through a scanning device called a magnetometer. Personal belongings will be sent through an x-ray machine. Any person entering the building is subject to search. Any person who will not consent to being searched will not be allowed into the building and will be directed to the exit. All weapons and dangerous instruments must be surrendered. All packages, purses, briefcases and other containers are subject to search. Different counties may have additional security procedures. These procedures are necessary to protect the safety of all people in the Courts.

Anyone with a health condition who might be affected by such scanning should advise the officer at the magnetometer.
