Affirmation of Completion
In General
If you have completed the requisite training by attending all three of the training sessions, you now qualify to schedule your volunteer time and satisfy your 6-hour commitment to the Civil Court.
You will be providing an important public service by helping self-represented litigants who are in need of legal assistance and guidance with Small Claims and Civil Court cases in the Civil Court's Help Center in New York County.

To select Dates and Times for your 6 hours of volunteer service, refer to the calendars below, which reflect those Dates and Time slots that have already been selected by other volunteer lawyers.

At this time, volunteer opportunities for the Civil Division of the Volunteer Lawyers Project are only available in the Civil Court's Help Center in New York County on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9AM-5PM (closed 1PM-2PM for lunch).
Please note that the New York County Help Center can accommodate 3-4 volunteers at the same time. After checking availability, please schedule your volunteer time below.

Schedule Your Volunteer Time
After confirming that your chosen Dates and Times of volunteer service are available, you can use the on-line scheduling form to submit your available dates and times.
After your request is received, you will be contacted via email with confirmation. You must bring a copy of this email confirmation with you on your dates of service and submit the confirmation to the Help Center Court Attorney. Every effort is made to accommodate volunteers' requests.

Affirmation of Completion
Please keep track of the Dates and Times that you provided volunteer services in the Civil Court's Help Center.
Every Volunteer Lawyer in the Project must submit an online Affirmation of Completion upon completing the minimum 6 hours of volunteer service.
