Hon. Christopher R. Martin
Hon. Christopher R. Martin serves as a Village Justice in Brockport NY. Appointed to the Bench in May of 2017, he started hearing cases following completion of Taking The Bench in December of that year. He was elected to his first four-year term in June of 2018 and was re-elected in 2022. He also serves as an Acting Village Justice for the Monroe County Centralized Arraignment Part.
He maintains his membership in the New York State Magistrates Association and is an active member in the Monroe County Magistrates Association where he has served on the Executive Board as Treasurer for the County Association since 2018.
Judge Martin has spent the better part of his life in service to his community. He has served as a volunteer firefighter in Brockport for over fifty years; 35 of those years as an Emergency Medical Technician. Martin currently serves as the Public Information Officer for the department. He filled in for the better part of a year as Deputy Mayor when asked to do so by the Mayor in 2009 and was an emergency dispatcher and call taker for over twenty years.
As Training Director for Monroe County 911, he was responsible for evaluating, revising and publishing training manuals and programs for new hires and promoted staff. He is a Master Instructor with New York State where he is certified as an Ethical Awareness Moderator.
Judge Martin was appointed by Judge Joseph A. Zayas to the Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics in 2025.
