Our Mission

The mission of the New York State Judicial Institute is to enhance the public's confidence in the courts and guarantee that the State Judiciary sets the standard for quality around the country. Our primary goal is to ensure that Unified Court System (UCS) judges and justices remain current on the developments and emerging trends in the law as well as the disciplines and considerations that influence the law.

The Judicial Institute also creates a think tank atmosphere to address how the law intersects with and impacts society. Through its programs, the Judicial Institute seeks to promote constructive dialogues between the Judiciary, the practicing bar, and the public.

For the last twenty years, the Judicial Institute has presented thousands of educational programs for UCS judges, justices, and attorneys, spanning every major area of law as well as issues on the cutting edge, e.g., technology and artificial intelligence.
