What is the role of a Commissioner of Jurors?

Commissioners of Jurors are responsible for providing qualified grand and trial jurors to the courts. They oversee the processes of qualifying, summoning, non-compliance enforcement, impaneling, and assigning jurors in accordance with Judiciary Law and other laws, rules, and regulations.

What is the role of Jury Support Office?

Jury Support Office (JSO) works with the Commissioners of Jurors in each county in NYS to provide direct support for jury operations and record management. JSO also facilitates outreach efforts to promote juror inclusivity, and designs materials for juror orientation, education, and wellness.
