For NYS Registered Attorneys

Registered New York State Attorneys will use their Attorney Registration credentials to access NY-VCAP.  Please have your Attorney Registration ID Number and Password ready when you join NY-VCAP.
The first time you log in to NY-VCAP, and subsequently if you are forwarded calendar appointments to fill in for other attorneys, you may be prompted to enter your preferred email address, display name, and asked to select the appearances you are associated to.

Please see this overview: How to Access NY-VCAP as a Registered NYS Attorney

Review the General Access Information section below, before your first appearance, and contact Technical Support with any access issues.

If you do not know your NYS Attorney Registration ID number, please visit the Attorney Services Search Page

If you do not know your NYS Attorney Registration password, please visit the Forgot NYS Attorney Registration Page

For Guest Participants

If you have been invited to a NY-VCAP appearance and are not a UCS employee or NYS Registered Attorney, please review these instructions: How to Access NY-VCAP as a Guest Participant

If you believe you should have been invited to a virtual court appearance and did not receive the calendar appointment, or if you accidentally delete it, you can join your appearance through the NY-VCAP Self Registration Portal.  See the instructions how to do so here: How to Access NY-VCAP Through Self Check In. The court will review and admit, where appropriate, parties who registered for an appearance through this self-check-in process.

Please note, to utilize self-check in, through the NY-VCAP Self Registration Portal you will need your case number, and you will need to enter your email address.  A one-time passcode will be sent to that email address, so be sure you have immediate access to it.
