New York Statute & Legislative Bills
  • The Consolidated Laws of New York (CLS) are available on Lexis Advance. CLS materials include annotations, citing references and forms from Lexis Advance editorial staff.
  • McKinney's Consolidated Laws of New York are available on Westlaw. Annotations and citing references are useful and extensive.
  • The New York State Assembly site provides the New York statutes without annotation at http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/ (to access, click on the New York State Laws in the menu on the right.) You can browse through the laws on the site. For example, locate the Domestic Relations Law, then click to find the various sections.
  • New York State Legislative Bill Tracking is available on Lexis Advance. Also, the State Senate bills are available at http://public.leginfo.state.ny.us/menuf.cgi and the bills passed by NYS Assembly found at http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/.
