The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination by state and local governments on the basis of disability. As part of the Unified Court System, the Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department is fully committed to ensuring equal access to the court system for all those who wish to use it. In furtherance of this goal, this Court has designated the Managing Attorney of its Clerk's Office, Erica Putnam Little, to serve as its ADA liaison, to be contacted, in advance when possible, when reasonable accommodations on the basis of disability are needed. Accessible entrances to the courthouse may be found on State Street via the Vietnam Memorial or via the Concourse-level of the Empire State Plaza.
