Court & Trust
Court and trust funds are monies deposited with the court in connection with litigation, disputes, court orders, or other payments to the County Clerk as directed by CPLR statutes. These funds are paid to the County Clerk and transmitted to the Department of Finance in accordance with court procedures and legal requirements.
To collect these funds, an order must be obtained from the Supreme Court and presented to the NYC Department of Finance for processing.
These are the following types of monies that can be deposited:
Surplus Money
Court directed monetary deposits
Undertakings
Escrow Deposits
Other CPLR payments into court
Certificate of No Exceptions, Notice of Appearance, Notice of Claim List
If you require a Certificate of No Exceptions or a Notice of Appearance/Notice of Claim List:
- The fee for either form is $10
- The referee's report must be entered at the County Clerk
- Surplus monies must have been deposited into court (if applicable)
All fees are payable to the Bronx County Clerk by New York State attorney's check, bank or postal money order, or certified check. Cash and credit card payments are only accepted in person.
Mail-In Requests
For Mail-In requests, be sure to include the following:
- What you're requesting
- A listing of the title of action
- The index number
- A self-addressed, stamped business-sized envelope
- $10 for each form requested payable by New York State attorney's check, bank or postal money order, or certified check
