    Judgment Department Services

    The Judgment Department is responsible for the review and processing of the following matters: 

    • Confessions of Judgment 
    • Default Judgments 
    • CPLR § 5003-a Submissions 
    • Foreclosures 
    • Guardianships 
    • Other Court-Ordered Judgment Types 
    • Commissions to Guardians 
    • Oaths and Designations 
    • Vacaturs Pursuant to Judges’ Orders 
    • Review of Religious Corporation Submissions 

    Please ensure submissions are complete and comply with court requirements to avoid processing delays.

    Religious Corporations

    To file for a new religious corporation registration, amendment, or discontinuance of a business, you will need to submit the appropriate business form.

    • Forms may be purchased online at BlumbergLegalForms.com or at any commercial or stationary store that sells legal forms.
    • Forms must be typed/printed legibly in blue or black ink.
    • You must bring an identification that bears your signature, as the forms must be notarized.
    • For new religious corporation registrations: A telephone number and proof of the business address must be provided as well (e.g. Lease, Utility, or NYS ID if the business address is the same as the home address).
    • For church amendments: Churches submitting amendments are kindly requested to include an affidavit that lists the members/trustees of the church who voted in favor of the amendment. This affidavit should be notarized by one of the trustees or the secretary responsible for maintaining the minutes. This additional documentation should accompany the amendment paperwork itself.

    Filing Fees

    The Bronx County Clerk requires one original notarized form for file. The fees are $100.00 for the filing of the certificate, plus $10.00 for each certified copy you wish to receive, plus copy fee ($.25 per page in person or $.65 per page via mail).
