Passport Department Hours of Operation
The Bronx County Clerk's Office is a passport acceptance facility that processes in-person U.S. passports applications Monday through Friday (excluding Holidays), 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Walk-ins only, there are no appointments.
Passport Application Requirements
You must apply in person using Form DS-11 if at least one of the following is true:
- You are applying for your first U.S. passport
- You are under age 16
- Your previous U.S. passport was issued when you were under age 16
- Your previous U.S. passport was lost, stolen, or damaged
- Your previous U.S. passport was issued more than 15 years ago
If none of the above statements apply to you, you may be eligible to renew your passport online or by mail. For more information, visit the U.S. Department of State Renew or Replace a Passport Homepage.
When filling out your passport application:
- Passport applications must be typewritten or neatly printed in black ink only.
- "Cross-outs" on passport applications are not permitted. If a mistake is made on an application, a new one must be completed.

Optional Application Fees
- Add $60 to your application fee if you want faster expedited service.
- Add $22.05 to your application fee if you want your passport 1-2 days after it is mailed.
